Welcome to Our Golf Course in Lichtenau!

Dear friends, we are thrilled to welcome you to our 18-hole golf course, a place where the beauty of nature meets the passion for golf. Whether you're a scratch golfer looking for a challenge or a beginner seeking an enjoyable round, our course caters to all skill levels with its versatile tee options.
Nestled among lush deciduous and pine forests, our course offers a unique experience, with wide fairways, narrow woodland paths, and scenic, rolling landscapes. Early mornings here are truly magical, with the cheerful songs of birds filling the air as they make their home on our fairways, semiroughs, and natural habitats.
We are especially proud of the strong German-American friendship that ties our club to the nearby barracks. This bond adds a special sense of camaraderie to our community, and we are honored to share our course and hospitality with you.
Whether you're here for an unforgettable day on the greens or to enjoy a delicious meal at our clubhouse, you are always welcome. We look forward to hosting you and hope our course becomes a place where you can relax, unwind, and create lasting memories.
See you on the course!

General Rules of Golfclub Lichtenau-Weickershof

We all want to enjoy nice and relaxed rounds of golf at our golf course, driving range and training facilities. We also want to ensure respectful and adequate handling of all golfers, members and visitors.

The following rules shall be a guideline for those using our facilities.

In order to combine the interests of players of different handicaps and thus the speed of the game, free play on the course always follows Stableford Golf Game Rules.
Exceeding the numbers of the Stableford strikes per fairway is only allowed if the speed does not influence the flow of the game meaning that the following flight is not slowed down and that the flight in front is in reach.

Members and guests must follow the
• official golf rules
• guidelines of etiquette
• orders of the game
• instructions of the golf staff

All players are expected to behave in a disciplined, polite and respectful manner.

The true spirit of Golf:

“Play the ball how it lies. Play the course how you find it. If you are not able to fulfill both requirements, stay fair!”

With payment of the green fee, you acknowledge the rules of the game and the general guidelines of our club.

General Information and Controllership

Controllership is the responsibility of the marshal, the members of the board and representatives who have been officially appointed. It is their duty and in their authority to guarantee that all guidelines are followed as described in this document. Please follow these instructions given by the above mentioned people.

Dress Code

All players are to dress appropriately for golfing.
Blue jeans, t-shirts, bare midriffs, strapless tops, and tops with spaghetti-straps are not permitted. The dress code for players is also valid for caddies or any other accompanying persons.

Men
Golf shirts must have a collar and sleeves. Long trousers or short trousers must cover the knees.

Ladies
Ladies may wear collarless shirts or tops with sleeves. Long trousers, short trousers and golf skirts may be worn as appropriate for golfing.

Players must wear shoes with soft spikes or burling on the course.

The controllership staff responsible is allowed to refuse permission to play if the dress code is not adhered to.

Game regulations

Mondays to Fridays flights with 2 or 3 players have the play-through-right against 4-person-flights. On weekends, public holidays and after tournaments, flights of 4 players have the play-through-right. Please be advised to integrate single or 2-persons-flights into your flight when starting your round on tee box 1.
Each flight playing a complete round has the right to pass by each play unrequested if its round has been interrupted.
Single players do not have a play-through-right and should let other flights pass if they are faster.

Speed of the Play
Flights which are not able to keep the lead of the flight in front have to give way unrequested.

Starting on Tee Box 10 / Short Cuts
Starting on tee box 10 is only permitted when players on fairway 9 are not detained! Please make sure to hit the ball only when no other golfers are in danger. The same applies for short cuts.
The permission to start on tee box 10 has to be obtained from the golf office!

Course Maintenance
In order to have an optimal course, it is necessary to maintain fairways, greens and natural surroundings. For these reasons and economic needs as well, special consideration has to be given to our green keepers being able to fulfill their duties.
Maintenance activities always have priority.
Thus, restrictions which may come about while maintenance activities are ongoing have to be respected.

Divots
Divots have to be laid back and booted solidly.

Pitch Marks
Please repair your pitch marks in order to keep the greens in good shape and to allow following players to have good puts. Should a pitch mark have gone unnoticed by others, please repair it accordingly. Please make sure to have a pitch fork with you before starting your game. Our office staff is happy to assist you to this end.

Trolleys / Carts
It is not allowed to drive on tee boxes, greens, winter greens or the areas between the bunker and the greens with trolleys and carts. Please follow the signs which will guide you.

Bunkers
Rakes are used to erase traces. They should be placed next to the bunker.
